Presented to a grief class at Tecumseh Assembly of God

Friends can give a listening ear, encourage you, let you know they care, but they aren't there all of the time, like at night, holidays and Sundays that seem to be harder. A FRIEND IN JESUS: Heb. 13:5 - I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Deut. 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them; for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deut. 31:8 - The Lord, He it is that doth go before thee, He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed. Divorce with the rejection - I felt so unloved. Jer. 31:3 - I have loved thee with an everlasting love: Therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee. Had to repeat this over and over until it got from my head into my heart and I really felt it. Everlasting love never ends or isn't based on deserving it. God is no respecter of persons, so that means each of us. Favorite verses: read over and over: Ps. 34: 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 18 Ps. 27: 1, 5 Ps. 28: 7 Ps. 37 Sometimes you wonder about going through the hard times and someone that is not a Christian doesn't seem to have so many troubles. Reading Psalms is very uplifting and helps to encourage you. PHYSICALLY TIRED: Matt. 11:28 - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. After repeating this verse over and over. I would go right to sleep.
