After Sue and Gary Burch married they lived in Holloway first, then moved out by Clayton. They had a small farm with goats, chickens and horses. Sue finally got a horse. Not only one horse, but the horse was pregnant, so she got 2 for the price of 1.
Gary was diagnosed with leukemia and after 1 1/2 years of chemo treatments, bone marrow transplant, etc. he lost his battle with cancer and passed away August 3, 2006. What a heartbreak! Gary always called me mom and he is missed. One thing I remember about Gary was when we went to Holmes County Amish area and went to the flea market, he would ask where the good junk was. Meaning the old stuff, like tools, etc.
Sue drove Gilbert and I on trips and she got to see places she had never been and we got to go to the places that we didn't want to drive to.
Sue started working for Synergic Healthstyles in 2008. It was there that she met Steve Fankhauser. After dating for a year, they married December 17, 2011. We are glad that Steve is part of our family.
