	CRANBERRY FLUFF               (Ruth Cox)

2 c. raw cranberries, ground 3 c. miniature marshmallows 3/4 c. sugar Mix and chill overnight covered. Add: 2 c. diced unpared tart apples 1/2 c. seedless green grapes 1/2 c. walnuts, broken 1/4 tsp. salt Fold in: 1 c. heavy cream, whipped or use cool whip. Chill. Makes 8 - 10 servings.

	SOUR CREAM SALAD

1 pkg. miniature marshmallows 1 small can mandarin oranges, drained 1 can pineapple tidbits, drained 1/2 pint. cultered sour cream nuts

Stir all together and set overnight, covered. or use: fruit cocktail - pineapple - marshmallows - nuts

	GREEN SALAD

1 pkg. instant pistachio pudding 1 lg. can crushed pineapple 1 c. broken nut meats 1 c. miniature marshmallows 1 lg. frozen topping, thawed Mix dry pudding and pineapple with juice. Add nut meats and marshmallows. Mix. Add topping and mix well.

	CHERRY DELIGHT

1 lg. cool whip 1 can cherry pie filling 1 can crushed pineapple, drained 1 can Eagle brand milk

  nuts 

Mix together.


	STRAWBERRY SALAD

2 (3oz.) boxes strawberry jello 2 c. hot water 1 pkg. frozen strawberries 1 #2 can crushed pineapple 3 mashed bananas 1 pt. sour cream mixed with 2 tsp. sugar and 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine and put half in large mold. Chill and spread with sour cream mixture. Add remaining jello. Chill.

	SPICED APPLESAUCE SALAD

Dissolve: 2 pkg (3oz.) jello (cherry or strawberry)

                 4  T.  cinnamon candies in
                 2  c. boiling water

Add: 3 c. applesauce Pour into mold and set.

	STRAWBERRY-PRETZEL SALAD

Crust: 2 c. crushed pretzels 3 tsp. sugar

           3/4  c. melted butter

Filling: 1 (8oz) cream cheese 1 medium Cool Whip

            1  c. sugar

Jello: 2 (3oz) boxes strawberry jello 2 (10oz) pkg frozen strawberries

           2  c. boiling water 

Mix ingredients for crust, press into a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 400 for 4 minutes. Cool. Mix filling; spread on crust. Dissolve jello in water. Add strawberries, let stand 10 minutes. Pour over and refrigerate until set.

	COOL WHIP SALAD

Mix 1 lg cottage cheese with 1 lg. dry jello. Add drained fruit. Add cool whip. Chill. Variations: Strawberry jello with fruit cocktail. Lime jello with crushed pineapple. Orange jello with crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges.


	BETTY'S SALAD

1/2 pkg spinach 8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled 1/2 head lettuce 3 hard boiled eggs, diced 1 #2 can bean sprouts, rinsed

Dressing: 1 c. salad oil 1 T. worchestershire sauce

                 3/4  c. sugar	1  med. grated onion		                                                    1/3  c. ketchup	 salt to taste
                 1/4  c. vinegar

Toss vegetables, eggs and bacon. Pour cold dressing over greens just before serving.

	VEGETABLE PIZZA

2 tubes cresent rolls 2 (8oz) cream cheese 1 envelope dry Ranch Dressing Mix (regular, not buttermilk) raw vegetables, (shredded carrots, chopped broccoli, cauliflower, etc.)

On cookie sheet or 12 x 15 pan, lay cresent roll dough flat. Bake as directed on package. When baked, let cool. Mix dressing mix with cream cheese, add 1 T. milk to soften up. Spread on dough. Top with your favorite veggies.

	MARINATED CARROTS

2 lb. sliced carrots, (1/4 in. thick) Cook until almost done. Drain and cool. Mix: 1 can tomato soup 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. powdered mustard 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 c. sugar 3/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. oil Boil together , cool. 1 green pepper, cut up 1 large onion, diced Combine all ingredients and refrigerate. Will keep in refrigerator several days.


	PINEAPPLE CARROT SALAD

1 (6oz) orange jello 1 can crushed pineapple, drained 1 cup grated carrots

Dissolve jello in 2 cups boiling water. Add 1 1/2 - 2 cups cold water. May use pineapple juice for part of cold water. Amount depends on if jello is to be used in a mold or a serving dish. Chill to partially set: add pineapple and carrots. Chill.

	MANDARIN ORANGE SALAD

2 pkg. (3 OZ) orange jello 1 large can mandarin oranges, drained 2 c. hot water 1 can pineapple tidbits, drained 1 1/2 cold water 1 container cool whip 1 c. miniature marshmallows

Dissolve jello in hot water, then add the cold water. When set, beat jello with the cool whip, just until well mixed. Add fruit and marshmallows. Chill until firm.

	LIME SALAD

1 (6oz) lime jello 1 can instant crushed pineapple, drained 2 c. hot water. 1 lg. cream cheese 13/4 c. cold water cool whip

Soften cream cheese. Dissolve jello and cream cheese in hot water. Add cold water. Chill until partially set. Add pineapple; then cool whip. Chill. Decorate top with maraschino cherry halves for Christmas.

	EASY FROZEN SALAD

1 8 (oz) pkg. cream cheese 1 small container cool whip 3/4 c. sugar

Beat cream cheese and sugar until creamed. Add cool whip and mix well. In another bowl, mix; 1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained 1 (10oz) pkg. frozen strawberries 1/2 c. chopped nuts, if desired 2 - 3 bananas, mashed

Add to creamed mixture and pour into a 2 qt. dish. Freeze. Remove from freezer 1 hour before serving. Keeps for weeks.

Can use miniature marshmallows, maraschino cherries, or fruit cocktail to vary salad.
